Since I stopped photographing weddings, engagement sessions only come about once a month. Most of the time it's with couples who have decided to have a destination wedding and therefore aren't working with a local photographer.

Of course I could do without the unflattering distortion, but it's rare that I am in any family photos, so to see myself (even in the slightest) with everyone else is an especially nice thing.

fresh! is a place for me to collect all the things that would normally fall between emails, phone conversations, portfolio updates and meetings with clients, family & friends. This will be the place where you can follow what's going in all aspects of Dawn M Photography & my other adventure, Chicago Uncommon. And because there is a very fine (sometimes invisible!) line between my business life and private life, you will likely find a few things here and there from my personal experiences.
