Recent Session: Two and a Half Week Old
These precious first weeks of life are such a joy to capture. I encourage new families to schedule newborn sessions as early as possible from the birth date and especially so within the first month. Because I usually book up a few months in advance, it is best if the session is scheduled before the little one is born.
This handsome little guy's mom was all sorts of prepared; she booked months before he was even born! While I can't make any guarantees, please know that you can always call or email to see if I can squeeze in a newborn or maternity session. I know planning for a portrait doesn't always make the list during those stressful last months of pregnancy.

I couldn't decide which of these sleepy shots I liked better, so I'm sharing both.

Recent Session: Two Year Old
At her last session she was only 10 months old. It's amazing how fast these kids grow up! And change! Oh my gosh do they change!

My Work in JPG Magazine
I was honored when asked to be part of Issue 7 of JPG Magazine. It is gorgeously done and showcases such talented photographers. I'm not worthy! You'll find me and my Chicago images in the hometown section (starting on page 63).Friday / 24 November 2006
Recent Session: Six Weeks Old

This little sweetie didn't want to miss out on anything. We wanted to catch some sleeping shots, but he would fight off the tired each time we thought he was drifting to dreamland.

Recent Session: Seven Years + Eighteen Months
These two were all sorts of adorable. We had wanted to do an outdoor session, but realized a few weeks ago that the weather had already turned and we weren't likely to get a decent weather day. Luckily, we had a permit for the Lincoln Park Conservatory.
As a note to future appointments, sessions can be held at the Lincoln Park Conservatory all year round as long as you ask me to apply for a permit within two weeks of your session date. Permits are $50 per hour.

Recent Session: One Year Old
Earlier today while mingling over the phone with a new client, I talked about how in the past I feared this age.
A one year old on the go has their own agenda and they'll be darned if you get in the way of that. My fear was that I couldn't manage that type of situation, but now I know that all I need to do is join in on the mischief to make good things happen.

Whenever I have a relatively new addition to the walking world as the subject of a session, I make it my mission to capture a shot like this. A toddler in mid-stride is ready to conquer ... well, just about anything and that deserves photographic preservation like nothing else.

Recent Session: Family of Four
All week I've been featuring images of this lovely family of four. To wrap it up this is my favorite shot of them all together. Thank you S family for allowing me to be part of the family for a short while.

Kids grow up way too fast these days.
This gorgeous young lady plays big sister to the three previous adorable boys. Wow, I can not imagine.
