This is us in the elevator on our way up to our hotel room in Rome. We were in Rome for one week in September. Of the 700 photos I took this is the first shot I gave my eyes the time to study.

Every couple knows it's hard to get "together" shots when you are traveling. Heck, even when you're not traveling. When you do get them, they're extra special even if they are not particularly flattering. This one is just fun to look at. It's such a classic moment for us. Me with my camera of course and my husband with his wallet open fishing for our room key. He's always a step ahead.

We picked out three other shots to enlarge + frame, but I don't think I'll have time to get to the rest until after the New Year.

It hysterical to me that the picture below looks posed. As if I asked this 3 year old to put his face right up to these leaves and smile just right. Nothing this adorable is that easy.

What happened? We asked him to sit by the leaves. That simple request inspired him to lie belly down and gather them up into the pile you see in front of him. I think his smile is is a reflection of how proud he was for making the rest of us laugh.

2007 Availability

For your convenience, I've added a separate availability page to my website, dawnm.com. For those of you inquiring about when they should book for Spring/Summer you can track how quickly I'm booking up there as well as watch when I've opened new months for bookings. I expect to open up May dates sometime in March. The first three weeks of January are already booked as well as a few select dates in April.

Holiday Cards

The order deadline is fast approaching. Holiday card orders must be in by 12/1/2006. No holiday orders will be accepted after this date.

There was so much energy in this little guy, but he used it all up early on in the session. Luckily, I still had his three siblings to photograph. I'll be featuring his brother & sisters all this week. What a great family!

This was the second year I've worked with this family and I didn't think it was possible, but I adore them now even more.
