I've photographed adorable "N" three times since he turned 1. It is so amazing to be able to witness a baby turn into this fascinating little person.

And if you think this session looked like fun, you have no idea. There was running, jumping, peeking and booing. I was in desperate need of a nap afterwards. Where do these kids get the energy?!?

This door is famous ... I photographed it so many times. That deep green and urban texture is irresistible.

One year olds are among my favorite age group to photograph. They take a healthy amount of energy to shoot right, but the rewards always outweigh the effort. These were shot on a very cold day in February, so we stayed indoors and played for a few hours.

I fell in love with her tousled hair. So fun and playful just like her!

There are two types of toddler portraits that hold a special place in my heart. The exuberant tot running towards the camera showing full motion. Or, shown here, the inquisitive little one caught in the act of curiosity.

I imagine parents of toddlers see this expression everyday, multiple times a day and I bet it can be an exhaustingly difficult time. Nonetheless, it is an undeniably adorable expression, yes?

Thank you, Chicago weather, for forcing me to look for creative indoor locations during your cold, rainy or especially windy days.

A very large portfolio update is long overdue. Sadly, I only had time to make a few minor updates in all of 2007. It will be slow coming since new photo shoots and baby wrangling is top priority these days.

This kiddo had personality. Oh the fun we had! We were running all around his downtown condominium and by the time we wrapped up I needed a nap.

Babies in hats??? Forget about it. The cuteness is unbearable. So when I found this green polka dot hat at Baby Gap there was no doubt that it would end up in my bag.

One of my first sessions back was with a family I've been photographing for nearly three years. The oldest was only four months old at our first session. Time goes so very fast. She's already three!!!

Here they are, adorable as ever.
