I'm sure I've said this before, but watching kids grow up is one of the best aspects of my job. I'll say it again and again.

With that leg up in the air, this will be forever known as the "I'm coming to get you" pose. I can't help but to giggle everytime I look at this shot.

Because of things going on in my personal life, there was a huge time shortage that left all my favorites from December sessions sitting, waiting, wishing, hoping to be shared. No worries, my plan is to get to those this week and then the following week I'll be back on some sort of sharing schedule.

There was no shortage of cuteness in this household.

This is the third appointment I've had with this little angel and I swear she gets cuter every single time. She has lots of holiday cheer to share ...

This little girl had the type of energy I dream about bottling. I'd get so much done! These were taken on a relatively warm day in November and the next day it snowed. Thank you, Chicago.

At her last session she was only 10 months old. It's amazing how fast these kids grow up! And change! Oh my gosh do they change!

Earlier today while mingling over the phone with a new client, I talked about how in the past I feared this age.

A one year old on the go has their own agenda and they'll be darned if you get in the way of that. My fear was that I couldn't manage that type of situation, but now I know that all I need to do is join in on the mischief to make good things happen.

Whenever I have a relatively new addition to the walking world as the subject of a session, I make it my mission to capture a shot like this. A toddler in mid-stride is ready to conquer ... well, just about anything and that deserves photographic preservation like nothing else.

There was so much energy in this little guy, but he used it all up early on in the session. Luckily, I still had his three siblings to photograph. I'll be featuring his brother & sisters all this week. What a great family!

This was the second year I've worked with this family and I didn't think it was possible, but I adore them now even more.

Nature is slowly but surely taking away my ability to schedule outdoor sessions. Sadness all around! I really love an outdoor session, especially for a toddler. A 1 or 2 year old on the loose at a playground? That's a beautiful thing.

This was our third session together. It's fun to watch kids grow up. Crawling, sitting, walking, exploring ... I'm pretty sure I have the best job in the world!
