Sarcoma

We found out today that a large lump that quickly developed on Bernie's back is a "sarcoma". Her vet has recommend we remove it sooner rather than later in hopes that it hasn't already spread and for further testing. We'll be making an appointment next week pending a bunch of questions we have regarding how the surgery will affect her.

The Daughter of a Photographer

My husband doesn't even know that I take pictures of Kendall and I like this almost everyday. They are nothing more than fun little captures of how messy I look and how aloof she looks on any given day. I've never shared one before and I've never even thought of including one in the quarterly books I'm making for her, that is, until I came across this little gem from earlier today.

Kinda says it all.

Not Typical for a Weekend

It’s so very easy for me to feel sorry for myself right now. I sit here with a heating pad tucked under my right arm. It is there to cover my right breast where I have a clogged milk duct. I’m miserable.

Bernie who had her surgery yesterday stayed awake all night pacing, panting, moaning, crying, on the chair, off the chair, sit down, stand up, pee, repeat. Poor Bill stayed awake with her as he was on Bernie watch. They are miserable.

Kendall seems to be the only one who is her normal happy go lucky self. Thank goodness. She is the bright light we need right now.

On the agenda for today ... a call to the doctor and rest. Yes, lots of rest. It's been awhile since I've been ok with sitting around in bed.
